Overview
Overview
The American University of Science was created in Hawaii, United States of America, on September 3, 2021. Christian Luong, AUS's founder and first president, culminated his efforts to develop a new type of educational institution relevant to the times and the nation's needs, where students would be trained in a fashion that stresses the application of knowledge. Christian, a famous professor of medical sciences, emphasized the importance of basic research and believed that the best way to create professional competence was to combine teaching and research with an emphasis on real-world issues.
Teaching and research, with a connection to the real world as a guiding concept, are AUS's fundamental objectives. The University is private, independent, and coeducational. Its four schools—management, languages, science, and medicine—offer various degree-granting programs, an interdisciplinary research institute, and programs whose work transcends typical departmental lines.
Mission Statement
AUS's objective is to expand knowledge and educate students in science, technology, and other fields of study that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century.
The University is dedicated to producing, distributing, and preserving knowledge and collaborating with others to apply this knowledge to the world's greatest issues. AUS is committed to providing its students with an education that blends rigorous academic study and the thrill of discovery with the intellectual stimulation and support of various campus communities. We aspire to cultivate in every member of the AUS community the capacity and zeal to work intelligently, creatively, and effectively for the advancement of humanity.
