OVERVIEW
The AUS's Executive Master of Business Administration (Executive M.B.A.) in Strategic Communication program prepares graduates for a career in public relations, marketing, and other communications-based fields. The skills acquired in this program allow professionals in these fields to contribute significantly to the success of the companies they represent.
Strategic communication is a sub-specialty in the communications field. While communication covers a broad range of activities that includes advertising, broadcasting, and internal communication, strategic communication refers to the delivery of focused messaging that meets an organization's strategic goals and advances a particular brand's message.
For strategic decision-makers in the private and public sectors, 'marketing' describes a fundamental approach to general management decision-making and a necessary set of business functions. Business people trained in marketing can provide critical input in such areas as markets, competitors, and portfolios of operating technologies. As such, the field of marketing is valuable preparation for many types of management careers, including consulting, entrepreneurial management, line management, and managing one's own business.
This program prepares students to plan, execute and evaluate business strategies that match an organization's mission. It focuses on utilizing results-driven proactive and reactive messaging strategies and applying best practices when communicating potential risks to the public.
